i was a truck driver. i came out of utah on i-80 with another driver from the same company driving in front of me around 2300hrs (11:00 pm). we were about a mile or so from "the hole in the wall", the tunnel just west of green river, wyoming. we saw lights in the cloud cover. other drivers heading west announced on the cb that the light show was better on the other side (of the tunnel). we pulled over on the side of the road next to a mile marker (not sure what number) outside of james town and got out to watch. i didn't see any craft, but saw around 4-5 blue beams of light coming from inside, or behind, a cloud and they looked similar to searchlights, pointing at about a 45-degree angle upward. they were moving fairly fast. after about a minute, just to the right (from my perspective) from another cloud was another blue beam that went straight down onto the edge of town for a second or two then back up again. this blue beam of light projected down and back up slowly. not like a normal light beam. all these beams of light were huge, you could place a passenger airliner in one of them with room to spare. we watched until they disappeared, then we got back in our trucks. i checked the time, it was around 11:15 pm. the next day we were driving on hwy 287 in colorado headed south towards texas when we came across another driver going the same direction and started talking about the "light show" the previous night. i stated, "those were beautiful beams of blue light". the driver i was traveling with said "what do you mean? those were orange balls of light". the driver we came across said, "no, they were yellow balls of light". we dropped the conversation at that point and never talked about it again.
