Observed what appeared to be a 1.5 magnitude satellite. pointed it out to my 22 year old son. first observed ssw of zenith. it was moving from the ssw to nne passing near the zenith. as it neared the bowl of the big dipper, it began turning to the east. the object ended its turn in a wnw direction before reaching the bowl stars. it slowly faded as if losing magnitude due to distance. the brightness was constant as it went overhead and was traveling in the ssw to nne direction. i am an amateur astronomer. i am 56, and been observing the night sky for 46 years. this appeared as a lower orbit speed satellite. observed 2 other satellites after seeing this object. one dimmer moving slowly, and another about the same magnitude moving about the same speed as the object. both satellites maintained straight paths until dimming out as i would expect a satellite to dim in its motion. dim satellite was moving in a southern to northern path. the brighter satellite from a northern to southern path.
