11:15pm 6/6/2020 edt buckner ky 40010 i am an amateur astronomer and computer engineer. i'm accustomed to understanding what i see in the world around me. on saturday night at 11:15pm my wife and i both saw an orange orb flying across the sky above our house. we watched it for 60 seconds until it disappeared over the horizon. it apparatus to be 5-10,000 feet in altitude and moving about the same speed a commercial airliner would at that height. it did not blink or make a noise. it moved in a straight line from north to south. google says the most common explanation is a chinese lantern. it wasn't that. i held an atf display fireworks license for 3 years and set off many of those and know what they look like. as for size, it was big. between 1/4 and 1/2 the size of the full moon.
