It was Sunday evening, September 25, around 20:45...at Km 1 on the road between Mijas Pueblo and Benalmadena Pueblo. I was coming home and just got off the bus, walking towards the front door. I looked up at the sky casually. I saw a long line of white lights moving in the sky, single file. There are mountains behind the building where we live and at first, I thought it was a line of cars traveling on the mountain highway. Then I realized it was way too high in the sky, and in fact, there is no highway on that side of the mountain. The lights were in a long, straight line, traveling about as fast as an airplane seems to fly - you know, how it looks to our naked eye, flying across the sky. The lights were in a perfectly straight line and not blinking. There was no other form at all. It was almost like watching a train crossing the night sky. The sun had just set but the sky above the mountains was dark. That mountain range is called La Sierra De Mijas. The exact location of where I live is called Osunillas. It's only about 1.5km east of Mijas Pueblo. The lights were moving eastward. They never disappeared or veered or changed direction. But they became too distant for me to keep watching...so they "disappeared" from MY sight. But as far as I could tell, they continued on in the same form - a straight line - in the same direction. I was too stunned to take any photos. I just stared in amazement.
