I was out, practicing long exposure pictures of the stars, in particular the big dipper, which was directly over head this night. I started looking for other stars to take pictures of, just exercising some night, long exposure practice shots. I noticed what didn't look normal to me off to the west. I thought to take long exposure pictures of it. Noticing the stars overhead were moving ever so slowly, I noticed this object was moving particularly faster. I snapped a few shots, took a few video shots, but those didn't turn out. The pictures that I did get, I layered with photoshop, adjusted the layers so that the trees were aligned and the telephone pole and wires. I got this picture that I labeled UFO.jpg as the result. Clear movement. I also had prior to this, two planes, in their normal patterns it seemed, fly over head. I have pictures of those to compare to. Working in the aviation field as I do, FAA A&P licensed and work at an airport now, knowing the navigation light requirements, I can compare the pictures of the planes I know were planes, and see the strobe patterns, the streak of the red/green lights. This object I have here, is just glowing. I took precedence to report this as well, though late, as I was reviewing other reports. I noticed that a firefighter on duty reported seeing a glowing object on fire West of Gardner as well. This may be similar, so it might help build a bigger picture in the end. If anyone wants to know camera details, please get in touch with me. Basically, camera was on sturdy all metal tripod, as I was already setup taking pictures of the constellations. Camera is Canon SX110IS (Image Stabilizer). 6 second exposures for each image.
