At 9:00 pm I was at the window on east side of my house facing towards the Mesa Verde National Park when I noticed red and blue lights flashing in the sky. I went outside to get a better look. I noticed the lights were not moving. I thought they may be a satellite or the space station. I thought it was odd that they were not moving.I called a science teacher I knew from school and she too had no idea what the lights were. We had visited on the phone and watched the lights together. I then called our local police dispatch and they gave me a number to call who maybe could answer my question of what was in the sky.What I saw was this: red, blue, white and some green lights remaining steady in the air at about a 50 degree angle over Mesa Verde National Park. While I could see airplane lights in the back ground of the sky the lights remained in the same position of the sky. The lights were much bigger then airplanes in this area. The two lights came closer together then they appeared to look more white but when looking through binoculars the colors red and blue were still appearent.Colors remained very brillant at all times. Never changing or getting dull. Always very clear and bright.I watched the stars in the sky. You could tell that they were moving with the rotation but the red and blue lights remained steady and held at their location. I sat in my kitchen window for a period of time then at mid-night the lights were gone. Had not rotated or moved, but just gone.
