As reported to ASD by phone today: I have been seeing a disc-shaped object over Kansas City, MO for the past several nights. I am in Gladstone, north of Kansas City, and saw the object directly south, and southwest from my front porch and street. It looked like it was first over KC, MO then over KS. I first saw the object it on April 30 when my wife pointed it out to me- It is brightly lit, with red, green, blue, and purplish lights spinning horizontally and clockwise on the exterior of the object. It first appears a hovering. Last night the same object hovered for 20 minutes, then moved very slowly behind a tree line. It took 5 minutes for it to move out of sight. I was able to get a short video of it with my cell phone on April 30, which is the first night I saw it. On one night I saw two of the objects, but I went inside to check on the children and when I returned they were gone.My wife is an administrator for a group home and we live in an apartment attached to the building. When people change shifts, I have pointed the object out to them, and they also thought it was very strange. At least 10 people have seen it as of today. I am ex-military and have studied aircraft for over 20 years and this is not a plane or any object known to me. It is also not a planet or star. I told my sister about it and she started watching the skies from her house in Overland Park, Kansas and she took over 100 photos of unknown objects in the past few days (she will file a separate report). I just want to know if anyone else is seeing this and if anyone knows what it is.
