As usual, walked outside to view the night sky. While looking East I observed a bright orb approx 25-35 miles away. During the viewing I observed a obvious fixed wing aircraft passing beyond the orb leaving a con-trail. The plane was approx. 5-10 miles beyond the orb. Watched object for several minutes then went inside. Came back out I little later and orb was gone. There's a lot of AH-64s that use this airspace and being a retired US Marine, I'm familiar with all aircraft in the world. Was unlike anything I've seen before. Semper Fidelis.
