Me and my group of friends went down to ft.Myers beach to watch the meteor shower. after gazing at the sky for about 15 minutes of seeing shooting stars, i spotted what i thought was a satellite. it was a small red light that appeared almost directly above us, traveling at a constant speed from north to southwest. the object was very far away and made no noise. the object had a constant red/orange glow with no other visible colors. i thought i was the only one who saw it until my friend confirmed that he had seen it too. he was able to see it continue moving south at the same altitude and speed. he also thinks that what we saw was not a plane or a satellite. after about 25 seconds of viewing, the object was too far to see.
