Observed 3 glowing orange lights hovering at a distance possibly over water. details: while on an extended tent camping trip on cooke dam pond in oscoda , mi, on the night of may 4th 2019 at 10:29pm we observed 3 glowing orange lights about 10 degrees over the water to the sw of us. they were a bit brighter than any star in the sky at the time, possibly magnitude -4 (venus). over several minutes they seemed to remain in position, in a straight line, angled slightly upwards, and over the several minutes slowly faded from sight. while they were fading i took 3 photographs but they are very under exposed. in two of the pics when i adjust the exposure in lightroom, i can pull out one of the lights (grainy) and this does suggest they had differing intensity at the time as they faded out. there were no sounds emitted from them and it was difficult to gauge the size or distance from our camp. i do have the exact gps coords of my location and the vector to share if needed. no observable air traffic/sounds at the time and i do have some sky observation experience as an amateur astronomer. i wish it was more exciting, but that's it!
