This report is from a letter emailed by the dececesed witnesses son for information only. he was not a witness and thought she might want her story told, but he didn't want to file a report. filled out and filed at mufon hq 2/27/2020. this is a three and 1/2 page letter with a diagram of the craft. i will enter relevent details and attach the letter and diagram to the report. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (edited) from harbor city, calif to hutchinson , kansas. my experience with what i felt was a ufo. april 1957 or 1958. my husband, our 3 children and i were leaving calif, moving bact home to hutchinson, kansas. just a short distance into new mexico my husband woke me up. he ask where that light was coming from that was shining in my face. i looked out the car window. but really couldn't see anything because the light was so bright. no sound, odd part was the light only seem to be on me, not my husband nor the kids. the route we took was highway 10 from calif then to highway 70 into new mexico. then to highway 54 to liberal kansas. as day break came i could see an object in the sky, just looked like a silver ball, about the size of a soccer ball, as day got brighter it looked more like the size of a soft ball. this object could move so very slow, other times it would move so fast. i think it was faster than lighting. seem to move in a z shape then going up or side ways. but could also shoot straight up or sideways. movement was so fast. like a speeding bullet or faster. it would at times just set and hover in space, as it did when we stopped for gas.In new mixico. as the day began to turn to dusk, the object seem to come down closer to land. it was round like a disk. had a small hump in center of the disk. it seemed to have a glow all around it, no light shining on me and others in our vehicle. did notice it seem to have something green all the way around what we could see, on the disk area. we are now going into our third day, when we got to the outskirts of liberal kansas, my husband decided to pull off on the shoulder of road to see what the object would do. its wee hours in the am, object hover in space to our right for awhile. then it began to descent at a very slow pace. it was actually many many miles away. as it kept coming down over pastureland we cold see what looked like a green ladder descending from botton of the disk. the green i had noticed earlier around disk, were windows with green lighting in side of object or disk. on the hump part, there were wider windows and the lights were a real white bright light. the size of the disk from where we were to where the object was i am guessing was about 3/4 of a football field. the bottom was flat and as it came closer you could see a door had been open. as it kept descending. husband got nervous and we decided to leave. as we drove off the object began to rise slowly and ladder was being pulled inside disk. suddenly it took off moving sideways from us. then all of a sudden it went straight up out of sight.
