While on the beach I was observing the trails of some high flying jets and then saw this object that was moving slowly in the sky following a line from the south heading north. I thought it may be a drone but the shape was more rounded. I had a camera with me that had a wide angle telescoping lens. When I took the camera out and started to film it just vanished as if it new I was going to film it. Looked everywhere in the sky and it was gone. It was gray/silver in color and appeared to be at or near 5000 feet. Appeared to be about 20' in diameter. Simply vanished without a trace.
