SIGHTING: ANNIESLAND, GLASGOW

Witness Testimony

"At approximately 3.10 pm after looking up at what I thought were seagulls flying, I looked up again and was astonished to see at least 5 very bright lights in a circle above me. The lights were very bright although they were in heavy cloud and were not lights that were being projected into the sky. Of that I am certain. I have never seen anything in the sky that I could not explain. At first I thought that the lights were all connected to what could possibly be a craft but after perhaps about 10-15 seconds, two of the lights appeared to disappear up into the cloud. The other three then proceeded to move together in a westerly direction at great speed, changing direction a couple of times . I cannot say for sure how far they travelled before two of them disappeared into the clouds, but even if they travelled a couple of miles, they did it in seconds. A plane would normally travel at between 500-600 mph and take 6 or 7 seconds to travel a mile. These objects I would say were covering that distance in about half that time, so possibly travelling at at least 1000mph. The one remaining object then turned in a southerly direction, again at great speed, changing direction a few times before disappearing from view. At all times these objects remained very brightly lit at were easy to see. I was at a bus stop and I asked two other people there if they they were seeing what I was, and they were. These objects were silent throughout this sighting. This area of Glasgow is in the flight path of planes taking off and landing at Glasgow airport. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to photograph or video any of this as my phone was in my backpack. I have always thought that if something like this happened I would get my phone out , but I was so stunned at what I was seeing that I wasn't thinking about that, which is frustrating. I haven't come across any reports of what I saw but I know what I saw and it was very real."
