On April 16 the at approx 9:45--10:00 pm (Thur) My wife and I observed this even from the beachside access at 190 th ave ,Indian Shores Florida.We are fulltime longtime residence .I am so sure of the date and hour due to this being the day after my daughters 6th Birthday and a rare "date night" w/o our child while she visited grandma for her b-day.Ater dinner we went beachside and commenting from our beach chairs on how we missed our long overdue beach walks in our newlywed days etc.As we looked Northward I gasped "what the heck is that". From the east traveling slowly westward over Gulf Blv ,over the heads of many direct beachfront condos no more than 12 stories high 5 glowing objects .They were in no hurry ,maybe 30 mph ,perfectly equidistant from one another ,almost as if "flairs on a string" but definetly not flairs. There luminence resembled a "candle in a paperbag" as one might see beside a sidewalk. Evenly illuminated,but muffled like a setting sun . No trouble to watch, Bronze like . I instictivly ran down the beach toward the objects to attempt to get under them, where the moonlight would be behind them for clarity.Just as I approched they traved gulfward slowly gaing altitude and then assuming an independent flightpath up and out to sea (gulf). Eventually I lost sight as they flew away .Seconds later 3 other trailing objects repeated this same pattern . Allowing me this time much more absorbtion time to digest this rarity .My wife an ex law enforcement office and I a staunch conservative both thought this must be "one of ours". We left the beach promply. I told my wife "someone, another balcony beachgazer must have seen this too" . We looked proactivly for anyone that might have seen this. With no luck.It has dsiturbed me, so I e-mailed a Police officer that also writes a newsletter for the Town Hall directed to residance of this very small commmunity .He offered no answers which disappointed me .I told my wife "some offical will know just what this is ,watch".The officer (name available) offered to contact MacDill AFB our nearest miltary possibility . They responed they had no knowledge of any such event or drill etc . Nothing . I now ask you to maybe try to contact others in the area that may also have reported activity .
