Intermittent flashes of light moving very quickly across sky, covering great distance.Sitting in backyard next to camp fire, watching the clear night sky for shooting stars - 4 adults & 1 child - we witnessed a brief flash in the sky, as quickly as it flashed it was gone, only to reappear across the sky in another location, then flashed, disappeared & reappeared again further down in the sky. This happened 4-5 times as it moved quickly across the sky in a SE direction. The speed in which it disappeared & then reappeared in another location was much too fast to be an airplane. It looked like a star, (white light). I dont believe it was a shooting star as the travel much faster. It looked as though it was a star quickly moving across the sky with intermittent blinks or flashes of light every so many miles it travels. Once again, we know what airplanes, satellites & falling stars look like....this was neither.
