My wife and I were relaxing in our backyard around 10:30 pm on 6/25/16 when my wife suddenly said what is that, look, look as I looked up we observed a reddish orange orb approaching from the south moving north. very bright that wasn't descending maybe less than 1000 feet. We got a very good look at it for about 5 seconds it then moved were we could see it though the tree canopy it was so bright that if we repositioned our self we could see it arcing towards the northwest. No sound, moving faster than a plane or helicopter. We live near a approach pattern for the local airport. We see and hear aircraft all the time. We have never seen anything like this.
