Saturday april 1, 2017, 7:00 am my wife and i noticed an object was about two miles into the gulf of mexico from miramar beach, hovering vertical cylindrical type object emitting very bright white light, no sound, could not be a helicopter. it was initially hovering but moving slowly sw further out in the ocean and upwards to the sky. noticed an airplane above me far up in the sky, compared distance to object and object was definitely much much lower. could not figure out why there was not sound. it was not a helicopter, neither an airplane as it was hovering gradually moving up. was definitely not a balloon. bright light randomly flashing between bright white light and dim light, although still very bright. it progressively moved further out and far up into the sky, actually very fast and lost visual sighting after about a total sighting time of about 10 minutes to 15 minutes.
