My sighting was pretty unspectacular, but the more i think about it the less sense it makes. i was driving near pantops mountain in charlottesville, and saw a white light- way high up and fast, clearly traveling thousands of miles an hour, like a meteor. but i don't think it was a meteor. for one thing, the light was unwavering, like an artificial light, and didn't have a trail behind. it was a clear, bright, even light. it didn't waver, flicker or flameout like meteors do. and unlike a meteor it deviated from a straight path- just a little bit, like a course correction- and then it was gone. the whole thing lasted two seconds, at most. my first thought was, hey! a meteor! then- wait, what was that?? as far as some of the specific questions in the form above, like how big it was- i really have no idea, but it wouldn't let me leave those questions bank. the thing was way high up in the sky, though probably not up in the stratosphere, and was traveling too fast to be a plane or satellite. so i don't know what it looked like beyond just a very-fast-moving light.
