I was getting some things out of my car around 11pm on 7/5/2012 in West Hartford CT and I happened to look up to the North West in the area of the handle if Ursa Major and saw a bright orange/red star like object. I first thought to myself that it was Mars, but realized Mars is not in that part of the sky. It then started moving towards the Nortb for a duration of about 10 seconds and then just faded away. I thought that being around the 4th of July that maybe it could have been some sort of firework, however this object was high up in the atmosphere and was definitely not a firework.
