It is May 9th, I am driving on the 401, eastbound, after spending time with my daughter. It is between 3:00-3:30 am. It had been snowing, but there is no snowfall at this time. I notice, and I am sure many truck drivers must have noticed this beam of power light behind the row of trees in the north. Trees appear as silhouettes before this powerful lightsource. At first, I tell myself it is a police helicopter with a searchlight, perhaps someone from a Kingston prison has run away. The lightbeam is not moving, it grows in intensity. I turn my head an look ahead. As I am following a curb I am able to notice the craft in the sky. The shape of the craft is not familiar. It might have been circular, I cannot be sure. There are orangish light flashing rapidly around the craft. Possible event windows. The craft is immobile, about 150 meters in the night sky. I stop paying attention to what I see and keep my eyes on the road. Then a pink cone of light, on my left, is thrust down in a very specific direction (northeast). The shape of the craft, now at an angle, is triangular, or more specifically like a boomerang. It is only at this point, because of the pinkish light cone, that the idea of a UFO dawns on me. Was this light attracting something, someone? It clearly aimed its lightsource in a very precise spot on the ground. I wanted to stop and take my camera out which I had on the drivers seat, but the on-coming trucks scared me. It would have been suicidal to stop anywhere on this slippery wet asphalt. I brush that idea aside, but as I follow the curb of the highway I decide to look into my driver's outside rear view mirror and watch the craft climb very slowly at an angle. Strangely it was not diminishing in size, if anything it seems to grow in size at it vanishing before entering the dark clouds. Perhaps this is absolutely nothing. I know whatever it was it was not like the light beams for airplane navigation which we see in this part of the province. There were no other vehicles on the ground to assist this craft, vehicles which I would notice later on during the ride to Montreal, because of the floodings. No this THING seemed intent on one thing only. It is as though I caught whatever its mission was unfolding for a few minutes. This information is strictly for your research. Thank you.
