Arrived early for work at 5:22 am.I work mostly outside, even in winter.Left the building at around 6:45 am to do my rounds outside.Cold.-3,pitch black.Clear skies as i noticed stars. glancing up and large very bright flash of light at 2 oclock in the sky.Intense square-like light lasted 2 seconds max and off. That got my attention.Again 3-4 seconds later it flashed on at the 12 o'clock overhead and off.Longer pause and again lit up but not as bright. by this time the pulses were close to 10 seconds apart and growing fainter as it disappeared heading south east. i am retired and live very close to a private airfield. My family and i have always loved airplanes and the history.I know my aircraft. There was absolutely no sound or any wind. There was no nav lights. In fact after watching this i noticed a satellite overhead. The faint tiny light ball crossing the sky and could compare the volocity of the two.The satellite clearly crossing the sky quicker (still slow)and with constant glow until out of sight.I believe this was at a lower altitude at first and was ascending perhaps.Hard to say when all i saw was a series of on-off-on lights and too dark to see anything else. if anyone else has seen similar lights please chime in.
