I was home, looking at the stars and watching for northern lights on a clear starry night, no moon in the sky. two bright star-like lights, side by side, shone atop bald mountain in the talkeetna mountain range, seen from meadow lakes. they looked like the lights videoed by the fisherman at the no. carolina coast in december, 2018. i initially thought they were stars but they were bigger and brighter than venus and were to the east of eta pegasus. according to my sky guide app there were no bright stars in that area. they looked like headlights but were too big for the distance and didn’t move. there are no maintained roads on the mountain top and i couldn’t tell if the lights were on the ground or hovering above. i went to an upstairs window to see if i could get a better view but saw nothing. i returned to the window where i initially saw them and they were no longer there.
