I was 11 years old, we lived by the Chekamus River at Fergies fishing lodge in Cheekeye, near Squamish BC. It was a warm summer afternoon and I was outside with a basket of freshly washed clothes, and hanging them on the clothes line. I was alone at the time as my Mother had gone into the house. I had a feeling that I was being watched, you know when you get that feeling, you turn around to see… nothing… so then I look up over the top of the clothesline over top of my head and I saw the underside of a round spacecraft. I was in disbelief, and froze in awe and I was just stunned. I think I stood there watching the circle in the inner 3rd of the craft move independently around the lights on the outside. It was pretty close, so I was able to see this clearly in detail. The craft was steel grey, the lights coloured as I recall. Suddenly I decided I had better get out of there, I didn’t know why it was watching me… I needed to go into the house to get my mother… I wanted someone else to see this. I bolted into the house and my Mother was washing up in the kitchen sink. I was somewhat hysterical, I had trouble communicating verbally, I was so agitated but I insisted that I wanted her to come outside… NOW and was babbling to her to come QUICK outside, come see this … begging her her to move… faster! I pulled at her arm to get her to come, but by the time we got outside, the craft was completely gone… no evidence it was ever there… I burst into tears of frustration and was babbling to my Mother what I had seen… how no one was going to believe me… my Mother didn’t know what to make of it all. I was not a fanciful child. I know what I saw. I never felt threatened but I was certainly shaken by the experience.
