Has anyone else just seen some very weird activity in the Sky to the East of Salisbury tonight? We live in Alderbury and tonight, my wife and daughter called me up excitedly at about 7:10. When I went upstairs I saw what look like a very fast moving, very large asteroid in the West. A few seconds later a second appeared and flew towards the first one. They crossed and then disappeared after about 30 seconds. Now I am very aware of the possibility of the evening sun reflecting off vapour trails but I am 55 years old (sober :)) and have never seen anything as fast or large as we just saw. I am guessing it was an experimental military flights as we are over the flightpath for lots of army helicopters and jets.
