I woke at 6:15 stood up to look out the window as it had been snowing, it was still dark and the window was slightly open, there was no sound. The window faces northeast and has a full view of the water, I saw a red light on the beach just at the water line skimming along. It was a steady light about 6 ft high moving at about 15 miles per hour, the beach is full of rocks and I immediately dismissed the thought of a person running with a light or drving an atv - the ball of red light moved steadily from left to right at the same altitude right along the beach until I lost sight of it. The mind is remarkable as I was in the 30 seconds discarding all plausible options
