Clear night, 54f, 41% humidity. we were sitting in the hot tub admiring the stars and noticed what we first thought was the space station traveling across the sky in a south-north trajectory at a fairly fast and steady velocity. initial observation was approximately at 45 degrees from horizontal and traveled overhead to about 110 degrees before we lost sight in the trees. following behind the first object, was another object traveling in the same trajectory and speed. then another and another. we counted at least 35 - 40 before we lost count. all objects appeared in the same part of the sky (in the constellations of cancer and gemini) equally spaced and had the same trajectory. this continued for at least 20 minutes and each object took about 30 seconds to cross the sky. in a few cases, there were groupings of 2 and 3 following the same trajectory. during the event, there was one object that traveled from west to east at about the same velocity and brightness as the others. the objects were similar to the brightest stars in the constellations cancer and gemini with respect to size and light intensity. as time progressed the trajectory moved slightly to the west in the sky but maintained the same south-north direction.
