A bright flashing spherical object which was intermittently visible (like it was catching the sun at certain angles) seemed to maintain approximately the same altitude and position for 4 to 5 minutes. The object appeared to at a fairly high altitude and was seen close to I-5 (possibly over Hazel Dell or Salmon Creek). I observed the bright light with binoculars and it looked much as it did with out them, a very bright flashing sphere when visible. There were high altitude jets (which appeared white) and jet trails/chemtrails in the air during and beyond the time the object was observed (which is common for the area). Several of the planes seemed to turn just after where the object was observed to head west. When I focused my binoculars on on of the trails for reference in the very bright blue sky, I saw a small, white sphere moving slightly downward, slowly in a zigzag motion beneath the jet trail before losing sight of it after a few seconds.
